Hahlici

Near my home, in the hinterland of Rijeka, there is Grobnik and Grobnik Field. Going from the sea towards Gorski Kotar, this intermezzo is either an invitation or a rejection, depending on how one perceives it. The mountain range that marks this transition from the coast to the mountains is often called the Grobnik Alps, or Hahlici. At their foothills, there is a small sports airport and a race track for car and motorcycle races. All in all, this little piece of paradise has been my home on many solo trips with a tent, and from this mountain, I brought home many ideas that are now a reality. I hope this is just the first in a series of tributes to this mountain.
